Just wanted to send our family's continued thanks for the service you are
providing. Last night, my children and husband (who all need to be bribed
to eat anything grown in the grown) fought over the last bit of beets
rostini (shred beets, mix with flour, salt and rosemary, fry up in pan like
a big pancake, watch picky eaters go crazy for crumbs). My daughter, who
would never eat a strawberry, was jostling for more (so we let her dip them
in chocolate, a mom does what she needs to.) The produce has been
phenomenal, the eggs are wonderful and the service is outstanding. Thank
you, for taking a chance on doing the right thing, for delivering to Adams,

On Friday, we had our first delivery from Berkshire Organics, a delivery company that brings fresh, local and organic fruits and vegetables right to your door! What a treat! The idea is that with fresh fruits and vegetables delivered to your door, your own driving time will be reduced. Plus, it is a great way to eat organically and locally, without having to track down the local farms yourself.
The produce is delivered in a big green bin, and when we opened it up, the wealth of vegetables and fruits was amazing. We ordered the Bachelor or Bachelorette basket to start (which is billed on the web site as great for one person), but will probably change our order next week to something bigger. However, this one-person basket packs a real punch! Lettuces, asparagus, broccoli, apples, bananas, etc. Enough for a couple, at least, or a small family whose kids don't eat that many veggies (like mine!). The delivery comes with a tip sheet on storage, and some recipes too (which will be posted on their web site soon - NOTE: I tried the mixed greens with orange sections, and orange vinaigrette! Yummy!)
There are a number of different sizes of baskets, and you can specify how often they should deliver (weekly or bi-monthly). Berkshire Organics can also add maple syrup, farm-fresh eggs, cut flowers and mushrooms to your order.
I am officially a huge fan of this service! Berkshire Organics has obviously done the research into local farms and resources, and their fruits and vegetables were fresh and clean and a real treat to get into. For more information, check out their web site at www.berkshireorganics.com.

We were so happy with our basket. We made Ratatouille with the fresh eggplant, onion and tomato , Fresh Pesto/Squash/Zucchini Pasta, Roasted veggies with a grilled chicken.... and used some of the veggies in some sushi rolls with fresh tuna that a friend caught out on the Cape.
